hi hi hi internet! i am happy to welcome you into my home! yayy i have internets on the regular now. not that this will interfere with my detox from work that takes up the entire two hours i am awake when i get off work, buttt this is exciting. so all you far away peoples better be ready to vid chat for realz now.
sidenote: just wanted to let everyone know that i have kindof let myself go on facebook. the inbox/invites are backing up, im trying to upload all my pics to my flickr account now, and its probably just a good idea right now anyway, so all of my (three) friends: take no offense, you have my phone number, lets keep it going in the real world.
anyway, this weekend was raaaaaaaaad. i decided to ditch all schoolwork and i think i spent all hours i was not eating or sleeping outside. (and yes that does mean most of the day.) got a little toasted tan in the sun, went to the flea market where i got an awesome 70s necklace for 3 dollars and road bikes with the best random mix of raleigh peoples well into the evening. highlights you ask? probably david eik collapsing like a retard at a stoplight on hilsborough, erica losing control while trying to yap on her cell and landing in somebodys front yard, climbing a secret building downtown to watch the sunset, breaking into a REDICULOUSLY scarry haunted boarded up building (yes thien made me go in) with a threehundred degree boiler room still active? and abandoned crack vacay spot. why dont i carry around my camera more.
anyway, sunday was also greatly spent in coffeeshops and cookouts. i think the weather being 75 and sunny got everyone so excited for summer. maybe summer in raleigh wont be so bad after all.
final note:
i have gotten myself into a personal pickle. (no pun intended!)
after reading a few articles and being recently convinced by friends adam and fur that juice diets are the hawt new thing in cleansing your body and soul, i agreed rather halfheartedly about committing to a three week detoxifying juice experience. i must admit however hippy it sounds that now im kindof into it. I dont think its even about the juice thing anymore, because im having serious trouble even making it out of the phase-one (of three) scale back, but now i must continue out of a commitment to self-discipline. See, it occured to me after i broke the diet the first two days i started, that i have a problem with self-discipline. So now i am making the commitment to at least hold strong to phase one for a while...granted, phase ONE is basically becoming vegan, eating mostly foods in the raw. so lets make a list of everything i eat thats gone: diet coke, which i have no problem with and intend to stay away from for a while, but also coffee, meat, cheese, white bread and anything processed. there goes eating out at all. so the first week (or day) i think is the hardest to get through. i have to give myself credit that i keep making it through the entire day (and feeling like shit) but cave at night, once to ice cream and once to a doughnut. yeah thats right. but the way thien put it, at least im setting the bar really high, so even if i dont make it, its a much needed health improvement despite. im gonna stick this out for a while because they tell me you actually do start feeling great and can sleep better, concentrate, and loose a lot of shit in the process. literally! :)
Ill let you know how it goes...dont you worry.
